Welcome!
Welcome home to Adaville Baptist.
We are a Great Commission church with a heart to make disciples who make
disciples! We have a simple mission for church life: Reach Up, Reach In, and
Reach Out.
Our Disciple-making goal is to Call, Connect, Develop, and Deploy disciples who make disciples!
Our "process" is to Call those who do not know Jesus to salvation, Connect them to the local body of Adaville, Develop them through ministry involvement and small group studies, and Deploy them to service of Jesus to make disciples of all nations locally nad globally!
We Reach Up
We Reach Up in worship through music, prayer,
and hearing God’s Word. The two primary times for this are Sunday mornings at
10:45 and Wednesday nights at 6:00 but there are many other special times of
worship and prayer through the year.
We Reach In
We Reach In to make disciples
through our student ministries, Sunday School, and Bible studies. Sunday School
at 9:45, Wednesday night Discipleship at 6:00 and special Discipleship Retreats
are our main times for this. We also believe that intentional small group
gatherings foster this.
We Reach Out
We Reach Out to our community through our Wednesday
food pantry at 4:45, Operation Christmas Child all year with a fall focus on
packing and shipping, Back to School Backpack ministry in the fall, Prayer
Walks in our local neighborhoods, and other acts of service through the year.
Our Mission
We believe God’s Word is authoritative and
foundational to a healthy church. We support the Baptist Faith and Message and
believe a church can only honor God by being obedient to the Great Commission
and loving people like Jesus does. We’re a “come as you are” congregation so
some will be in shorts, some in suits. Just dress however you feel
comfortable. Our music is a blend of old
and new with a praise team leading and church choir singing often through the
year.
We are a growing church with new folks coming
and joining all the time. We want the
Holy Spirit to move freely here at Adaville so we can be a city on a hill and a
light to our community. We believe there’s a place for you here!
Frequently Asked Questions
We know that going into a new place with new people can be a bit intimidating. When you arrive at our location, parking is to the left and rear of the sanctuary. As you enter the building there will be greeters available to direct you to the nursery, sanctuary, or wherever you are looking to go. We’re here to help so please don’t hesitate to ask.
Our Sunday services offer powerful live worship and Biblical teaching that is relevant to everyday life. The services usually include preaching, prayer and music.
Adaville has a “come as you are” atmosphere. You will see some dressed up and some dressed casual. We have no expectations for attire and truly are more concerned about you feeling welcome than we are about how you dress. If you’re looking for a middle ground, business casual is probably something to shoot for.
Our worship through music is a combination of traditional hymns and contemporary Christian music. The lyrics to songs will be projected on the screen and sometimes we use hymnals. The singing is usually accompanied by piano or a CD, but sometimes other instruments are incorporated as well.
We have a lot to offer your children, and believe that they will have the best experience in an environment that is designed for their age group. Preschoolers class is located directly behind the Sanctuary.
Some of our other children’s opportunities include: Sunday School; “Bible Skills, Drills, & Thrills” on Sunday evenings; Children’s Choir on Monday afternoons; Spark on Wednesday; and other activities throughout the year (see our Children’s page).
After Sunday School, teens participate in the regular worship service. They can sit with their parent(s) or they are welcome to join the majority of the other teenagers in the front pews. There are other opportunities for worship and discipleship designed for teens on Sunday evenings and Wednesday evenings, as well as events throughout the year (see our Students page).
Our services start at 10:45. If you are new, you might want to show up a few minutes early to allow time to find your way to the right place and get comfortable. If you have children, you may want to allow a few extra minutes.
Our Sunday morning services are designed to last until 12:15ish. Our other services usually last about an hour.
We believe that giving is an act of worship for those committed to Christ, so we include it as a part of our worship service just like singing and teaching. Although you aren’t obligated, we invite you to give as you feel led.
We celebrate the Lord’s Supper (also known as communion) every other month and on special occasions. We believe that we are called to remember what Jesus did for us through this Christian ordinance and it has special meaning to us. If you are a believer in Jesus, we invite you to join us in this celebration.
We’d love to answer any questions you might have. Jump over to our Contact page and let us know how we can serve you, or come by the church office during office hours (M-T 9:00-4:30), or call for an appointment to meet with one of our staff members. We would love to answer your questions and give you a tour of the facilities with which God has blessed us.
